On 25 November 2025, the Faculty of Human Resource Management at the University of Skopje hosted a guest lecture entitled “Occupational Safety and Health in Times of Labour Shortages”, delivered by Mr. Atso Todosovski, MSc, from TIM Robotika Skopje. The lecture was organized within the framework of the Business Law course taught by Prof. Jana Ilieva, PhD.
The lecture focused on the current challenges faced by organizations in an environment characterized by an increasing shortage of qualified labour and the impact of this situation on occupational safety and employee well-being. Students had the opportunity to learn about contemporary approaches to workplace risk management, employers’ legal responsibilities, and practical examples from the business sector.
Emphasis was placed on the importance of creating a safe working environment, providing continuous employee training, and recognizing the role of human resource management in developing an organizational culture that promotes safety, health, and employee well-being.
Through an interactive discussion and the exchange of practical experiences, students gained a deeper understanding of occupational safety and health as a strategic component of modern human resource management. The lecture provided an excellent opportunity to connect theoretical knowledge with real-world business practices and contemporary challenges in managing human capital.
The Faculty of Human Resource Management expresses its sincere appreciation to Mr. Atso Todosovski, MSc, for his time, expertise, and valuable contribution to enriching the practical learning experience, as well as for bringing real business-sector challenges closer to the students.
